About the House

"Up South" is a generously sized, beautifully appointed home in the heart of Lakeside, Ohio — right on Lake Erie. Built in 2017 and thoughtfully furnished, the house spans three levels plus a private guest house, giving families and groups of up to 16 plenty of room to spread out without ever feeling crowded.

The open main level features a large dining table that seats 10, a cozy living room, and a chef’s kitchen with butcher block countertops, a gas range, stainless appliances, and open shelving stocked with everything you need. Step outside to the front porch — complete with a bed-style porch swing, wicker seating, and views of Lakeside’s charming streetscape — or head around back to the covered lower patio with a gas grill.

The primary bedroom suite on the main level features a king bed and a spa-like en suite with a double vanity and oversized walk-in tile shower. The upper level adds three more bedrooms and a full bath, while the lower level has a second king suite, a nautical-themed bunk room for kids, a TV and game room loaded with board games, and a full bath with washer and dryer. The guest house is a private retreat with its own king bed and en suite bath, available May through October.

Note: Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Lakeside requires a gate pass for entry. Please visit lakesideohio.com for details and pricing. In the summer months, rentals run Saturday to Saturday (7-night minimum).
